Suzette Franck was born in Hollywood, California, and grew up 20 miles outside of Los Angeles in the small city Simi Valley to her French Canadian parents and siblings. She has been drawing since she could hold a crayon at the tender age of one. During grade and middle school, she attended art classes by Mrs. Dawley at her home studio and began with pastels on large paper. Soon, she progressed onto oil paints and went on to win several ribbon prizes in the Ventura County State Fair circa 1983. Late in high school, Suzette studied Graphic Communications for three years where she learned the basics of printing of all types. In 1991, Suzette was an attentive student at Los Angeles City College, where she studied psychology, art, and music appreciation, as well as creating several art pieces for her Visual Arts classes.
